Who we are

What we collect, and why

• Expedition list: your name, email and crew size, so we can tell you about hunt dates and ticket openings. Nothing else, no sharing, no selling.
• Ticket orders: your name, email and crew size, so we can send your map link and run the event. Payments are handled entirely by Stripe; your card details never touch our servers.

How long we keep it

Expedition list details: until you ask to come off the list. Order details: as long as we need them for the event and our accounting records. Email info@alphashunt.co.uk any time to see, correct or delete what we hold about you.

Cookies

The public site does not set advertising cookies, and we never sell your data. We use Metricool, a website analytics tool, to count visits and see which pages people find useful, so we can keep improving Alpha's Hunt. It sets a small cookie to recognise repeat visits and measure traffic, and it does not identify you personally. We also use Google Analytics for the same purpose: understanding how many families visit and how they found us. It sets cookies too, and we have not switched on any advertising features. If you would rather not be measured, you can block cookies in your browser settings and the site will work exactly the same.

Tickets, refunds and cancellations

• One map covers one family, whatever size your crew is.
• Cancel up to 7 days before the hunt and we refund you in full, just email us. Closer to the day than that, refunds stop (your money is already in the chest, the loot and the printed maps) but your map carries over to the next hunt instead.
• If we have to postpone (serious weather, safety), every family's map carries over to the new date automatically, and a full refund is yours for the asking.
• The hunt runs on one day only; maps and clues are valid on that day.

Safety & your crew

• Alpha's Hunt is a self-guided family adventure on public streets, paths and parks. Children must stay with, and remain the responsibility of, their accompanying adults at all times.
• The trail uses pavements and marked crossing points, and no clue asks anyone to enter water, climb or approach roads unsafely. The treasure waits at a friend's garden, reached along a quiet public lane, where your crew is very welcome. If a clue ever seems to point somewhere risky, it doesn't. Step back and re-read.
• Take normal care: roads, river paths, weather and tired little legs. The safety notes on your map are part of these terms.
• The treasure chest contains chocolate and small toys. If anyone in your crew has allergies, email us before hunt day and we will happily sort an alternative.
• Nothing in these terms limits anyone's rights under UK consumer law, and nothing excludes liability that the law says can't be excluded.
